Make Sociology new with McGraw-Hill’s Connect Sociology and the 10th edition of Sociology A Brief Introduction. New to Connect is Investigate Sociology, a brand-new tool that develops students’ sociological imaginations by placing them in provocative scenarios where they must analyze various sources and determine a solution. Connect also comes with LearnSmart, an adaptive questioning tool proven to increase content comprehension and student results, as well as fun interactivities like In their Shoes and Applying the Perspectives that teach sociology’s three theoretical frameworks. Finally, make sure students come prepared to class by assigning our many e-book activities. With McGraw-Hill’s digital tools, focus on what you do best—teaching.
Unique to this program, Sociology A Brief Introduction encourages students to take sociology with them in their everyday lives, just as Rick keeps a small notebook of daily sociological events. In Sociology brief, instructors get the most trusted content in manageable form. This, coupled with powerful digital learning tools, makes Sociology brief an ideal choice for your introductory course.

Seller sent it in a reasonable time & it was wrapped well. As for the actual contents of the book (Sociology), I haven't really read it-just skimmed it to get an idea of what the layout of the book is like. Thankfully, it's an online class & I don't have homework every night to do (just prep for tests every Thursday, "open book, of course," according to our instructor, lol!). I do think this will be an interesting subject (I like Psych & I did take Sociology in high school; plus, I do wonder why people are the way they are, & maybe this course will give me answers).I am reading this book as required for class & I am finding this book to be highly informative! I am finding certain aspects of sociology that are fitting to myself & others I know. Even if a person is not in a Sociology class & is looking for something educational to read (yes, people read sociology & psych books for fun!), this is a book I would highly recommend!

Sociology A Brief Introduction Richard T Schaefer Books Reviews
Bought for College. I just wish they would sell them either paperback or hardback. Not just loose leaf. Easy to understand information and great explanations.
Great book for college, wish I hadn't rented it as it was a wonderful read!
Good book.
This is a pretty good book for the price. The examples are good and the language is relate-able. I'm wasn't particularly interested in Sociology when I took the class, but it was a requirement. Even still, this book was actually interesting to read and I rarely found myself bored with any of the topics in it.
This is a great book for those who are interested in
knowing the study of sociology. It is set up well in
its instruction.
I love the fact that you have the chapter and at the
end some questions (with the answers upside down), so
you can evalute if you learn what was intended. And if
you are in a hurry, after that section is an overview
of what the chapter is to teach with brief summaries and
word definitions.
The only down side that I have found is this book is
biase towards the Conflict theory and Liberal types.
Overall though, it does a fairly good job of being
balanced.
If you order this book to come to your house please know that there is nothing binding it together. I didn't see any information about that in the description, kind of disappointing, now I have to make sure the book doesn't fall because the pages will go everywhere...
I was extremely disappointed at the layout of this book (rental e-book purchase). I wish it would have been one entire page of text, instead of columns (it makes it harder to read). Otherwise, the book itself is very informational, and I like the pictures. If you have the money to spare, I'd recommend renting or buying the actual material rather than an ebook.
